Do you want to be a stage actress or a movie actress? For both you're going to have to audition for some plays and the like for experience to put on your resume` which is basically a list of your previous experiences. The auditioning process if fierce and competitive and they will choose those who have the most impressive resumes` for the lead roles. Take some acting classes and clinics at your local theatre, get a voice coach, join a choir, take dance classes regularly and you'll be well on your way to stardom.
You can find agents a lot of places. With a simple internet search or browse through the yellow pages you can find an agent. But you must be careful!! There are many that aren't reputable and will easily rip you off or in other words they are a scam. So do lots of research ( do your homework, kid) to find out whether or not they are the perfect agent for you.
    Best of Luck,
    Molly
